Ovidius University is a public higher education institution, founded in 1961, located in Constanța. In 1990 it became a multidisciplinary university, with bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs, certified EN ISO 9001: 2008 (certified by TÜV Austria). The university is named after the Roman poet Publius Ovidius Naso, the spiritual patron of the university. Ovidius University is multidisciplinary, studying over 15,000 students, guided by 650 teachers and researchers, supported by over 300 employees in administration and services. The fields of study are: medical sciences, engineering, humanities, exact sciences, natural sciences, economic and legal sciences, arts, theology. The university currently has 86 undergraduate programs in 44 fields, 76 master’s programs and 4 doctoral schools in 8 fields of study. Facilities: the surface destined for didactic activities – 24000 sqm, 1300 accommodation places in student dormitories, library, virtual library.
