The event aimed to educate, motivate and connect young farmers interested in the possibilities and prospects of Climate-smart agriculture. The focus was placed on the presentation of the AGREEN interactive platform and its capacity to provide open educational resources for the developed course “Entrepreneurship for Climate-Smart Agriculture in the Black Sea Basin” accessible for e-learning.
The participants had the chance to learn from the project team and experts about topics such as: the concept and approach of Climate-smart agriculture in the Black Sea Basin; Value chains in the Climate-smart food industry; Sustainable farm management; Financing activities for Climate-smart agriculture; Marketing of sustainable agricultural products; International trade and cooperation.
Furthermore, the participants were given instructions on how they can use the AGREEN platform to further develop their knowledge in the Climate-smart agriculture and had the opportunity to get to know each other in order to forge connections and exchange information and ideas to help them in their further endeavours.
