Today, February 24, 2021, the Greek Focus Group was discussing the issue of Climate-Smart Agriculture in the framework of the project AGREEN.
The event was organized on-line via ZOOM by ΑΝΑΤΟΛΙΚΗ Α.Ε. Αναπτυξιακή Ανώνυμη Εταιρεία ΟΤΑ Ανατολικής Θεσσαλονίκης, the Greek AGREEN project’s partner.
During this meeting, the members of the Focus Group discussed the main activities of the AGREEN project and the expected results, the concept of climate-smart agriculture, its current state in Greece and the different perspectives of climate-smart products in the Greek market and especially in the Regions of Central Macedonia and East Macedonia and Thrace. Additionally, two good practices on circular economy practices in the agri-food chain and how they relate to Climate-Smart Agriculture were presented.
Finally, the Agricultural Cooperative of Vasilika, which is an associated partner of the AGREEN project, presented the practices of the local legumes farmers group and their approach to Climate-Smart Agriculture.
