From the 11th to the 13th of July 2022 representatives of the AGREEN project partners participated in the first field trip to the region of Tbilisi, Georgia. The Georgian partner hosting the event was Biological Farming Association ELKANA and with the kind support of the colleagues from Georgia the attending experts from Bulgaria, Romania, Armenia and Turkey visited the experimental fields and the Seed Ark Farm at Tsnisi where they observed the modelled crops by Elkana for growing organic wheat and Syntropic agriculture model.
The second day of the trip began with fruitful discussion and comparison of the crop models under experimentation in Georgia, Bulgaria and Turkey, followed by a visit of Zaza Ivanidze’s Farm in village Ghreli where the participants participated in a demonstration and a master-class for the use of typical local agro-food products in a smart way shortening the delivery chains and minimizing the effect for the environment. The meeting was closed back again in Tbilisi where networking meetings and discussions with the project partners and local participants set the base for potential future coopertions.
